ALTHOUGH IT IS POSSIBLE TO CONTEST THE IDEA THAT HUMAN RIGHTS HAVE PHILOSOPHICAL FOUNDATIONS, IN REALITY, THE WIDESPREAD POLITICAL CONSENSUS IS THAT IT CANNOT BE PLAUSIBLY ARGUED THAT THE CONCEPT OF UNIVERSAL HUMAN RIGHTS IS AN ARBITRARY CONSTRUCT.
