David Leonhardt talks about rationing because he, like everybody else, is worried about cost. Unlike everybody else, however, he cannot imagine (a word he used) how to control costs without making health care even more unachievable to the American people.

Which is why I wrote a posting giving him an idea or two, that I picked up studying and learning health care systems around the world. I published my answer to David before he went into his rationing spree again, so I assume that he has not read it. Pity. :-(

If readers are interested they can go to:

And Aaron is right. Resolving the health care situation should not, and needn't, involve even more rationing of medically necessary services. There is another world out there, if we only dare go for it.

Well! waiting isn't the best criteria for evaluation. Coverage is. In America insurance is must. The Healthcare industrial block has the monopoly. They decide who should get the healthcare. PROVISION is only for the rich. Why there can't be a universal coverage for all? Why healthcare managers and others deserve fancy pay?, at the cost of dehumanizing Hcare and Hcare workers inc doctors. Its a curse (inhumane is too weak a word) not to provide Hcare to the sick. Many die of lack of Hcare. Who cares!!!!!!!!! Can anyone imagine someone dying because they don't have money to buy health? Can we imagine ourselves in that position. Can we close our eyes for role playing as a destitute? Doesn't the thought kill us? Who cares? IMAGINE and see whats the image?
Who's taking the less traveled path?
