First South Los Angeles Health and Human Rights Conference:June 5th, 2009

The St. John’s Well Child and Family Centers (SJWCFC) in collaboration with several Los Angeles and California-based organizations has organized the First Annual South Los Angeles Health and Human Rights Conference on June 5, 2009. The conference will feature a number of speakers including: LA County Supervisor Mark Ridley, Congressman Dennis Kucinich, and Dr. Victor Sidel. The conference hopes to develop a South Los Angeles Declaration of Health and Human Rights.
The conference grows from work with a coalition of health care and social service providers, affordable housing developers, and community organizers who met last year to apply a human rights framework to the problems of South Central Los Angeles. The result of their efforts was a report entitled Taming the Perfect Storm which was published in Health and Human Rights. (See the following link for an interview about this effort from KPCC).

Hi,
I think it’s great this conference is coming up and foucusing specifically on Sout LA residents. I noticed this conference is free and I’m sure space will be limited but my question is: Do you have flyers that can be distributedt to the community ? If so, are they avaliable for download on this website?
